FAQs

1What will you tell me that I don’t already know?
We certainly have access to more information than anytime before, but if information was the answer, overweight and obesity wouldn’t have reached epidemic proportions all around the world or we wouldn’t be caffeine, sugar, and or junk food addicts. Working with me as your health coach will provide you with information and tools to actually implement and incorporate new healthy habits into your life. Once you develop this “muscle”, you can translate that to your family environment to make better lifestyle choices. Some people are able to do this on their own. Good for them! But, most people need help to change long-practiced habits. An expert who is empathetic while also holding you accountable provides the type of support you need to move towards a healthier lifestyle.
2I don’t have any health concerns. Why do I/we need you as a health coach?
The best time to address health is before anything is wrong. As your health coach I will create a safe space where you will feel comfortable to focus on your needs and desires in order to set and achieve your goals. I will consider every aspect of your health, diet and lifestyle when giving you nutrition recommendations. This includes working to improve relationships, career, physical activity and spirituality, which are known as the primary food. When partnering with me as your health coach, clients are set up on a path to attain measurable and realistic goals. There’s no judgment; just empathy, support, and accountability.
3What If I lack of willpower?
Changing habits is not about willpower. Willpower isn’t enough to overcome cravings and sugar addiction. Willpower is useless when industrial junk food and sugar are in charge of your brain chemistry. No more blaming yourself. Once you take back control of your biochemistry and body, you can achieve a healthy weight and metabolism not by willpower but by a doable sustainable program to regain control of your health.
4I don't like to cook and/or do not have time to cook – Is there hope for me?
My program will meet you wherever you are. That can include how to navigate a menu or choose healthier options at restaurants or from grocery stores. For those who are ready but don’t think they have the time, my program works in-depth to refocus priorities through time management where menu planning and shopping are scheduled resulting in more home cooked meals, done in very little time with little to no experience in cooking.
5I'm interested but not sure I can commit to your program. Can we meet a few times and see how it goes?
My Programs are very carefully designed to ensure sustainable success. I could give you a menu or a couple of “to do” things that you could go home and try, but I already know that that’s not going to be sustainable. And so by working together in a program, it gives you time to incorporate changes into your life, slowly but surely. It takes time to establish healthier habits and specially the six month period allows you to experience many different type of situations (family vacation, mother-in-law came to town, family celebration, unforeseen crisis, holidays, etc) and I am there to pull you back on track and provide you with the tools to be able to do it for yourself after the program.
6I've tried so many diets that did not work - how is this different?
My program is not a “diet.” It is a new way of life. Food must be about the individual, not about the theory. One person's food is another person’s poison. You have to find the best way of eating for you, then make that into a habit. In order to determine what to eat, you really need to look at and understand yourself. Once you decide that you want to live a healthier life, I help you craft a workable plan, hold you accountable, and help you get back on track when you feel lost.
